Course Summary

The Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is a highly competitive and respected undergraduate medical degree. The State Quota in India reserves 85% of the total MBBS seats in government medical colleges within a particular state for candidates who have a domicile of that state. This is a significant advantage for local students as they compete with a smaller pool of applicants and the cutoff ranks are typically lower than for the All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The curriculum is comprehensive, covering all aspects of modern medicine, from foundational subjects like Anatomy and Physiology to clinical training in Medicine, Surgery, and Paediatrics. The course includes a mandatory one-year internship where students gain essential hands-on experience in a hospital setting.
