The Government College of Nursing, Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata, is one of India’s oldest and most prestigious nursing institutes, established in 1835 as part of the Medical College Hospital. It received official permission to offer the B.Sc. Nursing course in 2005 from the government and in 2006 from the Indian Nursing Council (INC). The college later added Post Basic B.Sc.
